| An ancient march ,in a 6 note minor scale,celebrating the battle at Clontarf.This is a transcription of the superb Finbar Furey version on his album "Tommorrow We Part".Irish marches are usually in this 6/8 time rather than the more usual 4/4/drill,which gives them a much lighter touch.The origin of many jigs is an older march tune. |
